In Mediated, Carol Mirakove strives to integrate particular political situations with her emotional states of being (cf. Robert Creeley, "I want the poem as close to this fact as I can bring it; or it, me"). These poems, here in four sections — Mediated, Fuck the Polis, Propaganda, and Pornography — celebrate formal experiments towards structural integrity, such that we might realize other worlds as not only possible, but actual.
